Rechargeable batteries question!

I have just purchased a Panasonic charger for £3.89 and some batteries from 7dayshop. My question is (and slap me for being stupid!) can you use any brand of batteries in these chargers and how do you know the maximum capacity they will charge? ie if you wanted to charge 2700 capacity batteries is the charger limited to say 2500?

as long as the charger is for the same kind of battery then your OK
the capacity is no an issue so have you got Ni-Mh batts and a Ni-Mh charger then all is well
