recommend a lens?

I'm looking for a nice but not expensive lens to fit a sony alpha 350 (I know that the alphas have a funny fitting but all of the alpha models have the same lens fittings).

I'm looking for a zoom lens and a macro lens. I saw some in argos but although the price is fine (under £200 - ATM like everyone I have a limited amount of cash to spend, LOL) but I know that I would be able to get them cheaper elsewhere or they're gonna be pants.

Any suggestions for a DSLR noob greatly appreciated. LOl

Can't help you directly with what Sony lenses to buy (as I'm Canon), but don't forget the Minolta lenses from their digital range will also fit

ah...b****r...can't look at that site - I can't read writing on a black bacground, it does nasty things to me, LOL
