As it says really. I'd rather not shell out loads for the Nikon one and was wondering if anyone has tried it compared to any 3rd party offerings and could give an opinion or recommendation. there are loads on Ebay but is there anywhere else I should be looking? Would like it to have the same functionality of the Nikon with command wheels and shutter release/AFlock. Any thoughts on a decent quality 3rd party product?
I suppose my main concern is the feel of the control wheels and the shutter release but build quality and appearance would matter to an extent.
Thanks in advance.

having only used genuine Nikon ones on previous D200's and D300's I opted after reading here to get a phottix grip for a second D200 I got a while back, quality was great and it was exactly like the Nikon version

the Phottix ones would be the only none Nikon ones i would go for personally

I've got a Linkdelight one for my Canon 450D, the quality is excellent, far surpassing what I expected! I got it off here with an extra battery for £30 too! Maybe it isn't built as well as the Canon equivalent (although I doubt it, as it feels just as sturdy as the camera), but at under a third of the price of a new one, I can't complain!
