Recommend me a macro lens

Hi all im new here,
I have a cannon 350D that was given me about 12 months ago. Found it to be a good starter camera and can get some good shots, I keep marine fish and corals, I am looking to get some good close up shots of the corals and macro life.
I have the standard 18-55, And i purchased the 55-250 cannon lens. Could some one recommend me a good lens for great close up shots please. Possibly a cannon one and a budget one.

Try the Sigma 105mm Macro - can be picked up for around £160-180 on Canon fit...

Or alternatively the EF-S 60mm Macro probably a bit more expensive...

And the Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro can also be a great lens up to around £300 on the used market...

The Sigma might be a great starting point...
 
My vote is for Tamron 90mm, an awful lot of quality for the money, sharp as hell on crop and full frame :)
 
I don't think any of the dedicated macro lenses are bad so maybe just pick one that suits your budget, longer focal length is helpful as you don't need to get so close to the subject. No need to go for Canon in this case (only one 'n' in Canon ;)), the third party options are equally as good.

I use the Tamron 90mm and it is fantastic but the Sigma 105 is good too by all accounts. The only thing that might be helpful is image stabilisation which would help with handheld shots.
