Wales Recommendations for the Ffestiniog Railway

A few years ago ( Pre Covid ) we went on a circular trip from LLandudno.
Bus to Caernarfon>little train to Porthmadog then to Blaenau>normal train back to Llandudno up the Conwy valley.
So you could do the same from Porthmadog or go from Porth to Caernarfon and return , then a separate trip from Porth to Blaenau and back.
Photos at both ends and at the stations and some scenic shots from the train .
It was a very good day out and a great trip.
Whichever way you do it have fun

If you are wanting lineside photos rather than riding on/ stations then get yourself an os map, there are loads of footpaths that seem to follow the line, it's a long line though so would be a very long walk.

Have never photographed the ffestiniog so can't recommend any locations personally but where it crosses the estuary at Porthmadog and the spiral at Dduallt are well known spots.

Have you looked on Flickr to see if you can work out any of the locations?
