I intend getting myself a set of 100 x 150mm ND graduated filters. Whilst I understand Lee are the dogs doo dahs they’re a bit beyond what I really want to spend. I also believe Cokin aren’t very good and are to be avoided. I don’t mind spending a bit more than the basic for reasonable quality, so could you good people advise me on something in-between?

I don't know if they're as bad as some would have us believe. I've had some for years (standard stuff, ND's, grads...) and have never had a problem with them. They're reasonably priced, cheap even and before writing them off on the basis of other peoples reports is there any chance you could try some out if you can find anywhere that stock them?

Dare I say it but they can be better then Lee & they're a British company.
I do use a Cokin holder though
 
Odd, but the Lee holders and adaptors are very reasonably priced, can you mix and match makes, say Hitech filters in Lee holders?

Where are Lee filters made them if not British? Hampshire not British enough for you? [emoji1]
 
Just a word of support for Nisi filter holders.... I have their filter holder for the 150x170 system for the Nikon 14-24 and it is absolutely SUPERB quality. Their products seem to be reasonably priced too. Available from Amazon.
