Hi guys,
I know some of you went to the Red Bull air race last year at Longleat. I'm just fishing for travel advisory. :) I'm planning to get there around 11:30am because it's like 4.5 hours away from Cambridge.

Were there any traffic jams leading up to Longleat for last year's air race?

09:00 Gates to car parks and event site open
10.00 Pit lane open for public viewing
12.40 Official opening ceremony
14.00 Red Bull Air Race begins
16.00 Red Bull Air Race ends, followed by prize giving
16.30 Pit lane re-opens for spectators

I would try and get there early dude.

I spend a fair bit if time around that area and depending on how many people they have turn up, the road ain't designed to take a lot traffic imo.

If that's this weekend you will be fighting bank holiday traffic to the south west. TBH I'd aim to get there for 9 and then the traffic delays will see you to about the right time.

HTH

Which way where you planning on getting there (here) ? Down the m3 and a303 then up the a36 or via m4 and a36?

Bank holidays looking like a bit of a wash out, so hopefuly the traffic wont be too bad.

Hope you have a nice time, was gonna go myself but work is a biatch sometimes ;)

It's next Saturday 2nd of Sept.

I am coming from Cambridge, so round the M25 anti-clockwise. Which is the faster route? Down M4 or M3?
