have 2 questions to ask here

one what colour reflector do you find the most intresting/best?


also i have just borght a fold away 5 in one reflector got it home took it out the carry case to have a look at it now slightly confused as to how to fold it back up so my second question no matter how silly it sounds would be....


how do you fold them back up?
 
the one that i use you kind of twist it into a figure of 8 and fold it over.

personally, i use the silver foil side the most, but it depends on how bright the sunlight is. sometimes i just use the white side.

i don't use the gold one, if i want a warm, golden look i'll do it in post where i have more control.
 
Only used mine a few times so far and all on the white side.

I just wanted to say make sure you're careful when taking it out of the bag! I had a pretty good attempt at breaking my hand the other month when I went to get it out and it popped up at a bad angle. :shake:
 
Black not only blocks light but can subtract light from the side of a subjects face by not bouncing much light back.

Translucent one is used to remove the harsh shadows of a hard light (it softens the light).

Lots of videos on YouTube I think

Silver will reflect the most light back and gives a crisp neutral edge to the light.
Gold makes the image warmer and still provides a lot of light return

White provides a beautiful soft return although not as crisp as a metalic silver.

aha funny you should say that as i nearly knocked myself out on first opening it
