Relocating PS CS2's scratch disks

Got a bit of a problem with PS CS2... The scratch disks keep on filling up, only started happening since I've been throwing D200 files at it.
The issue is simple - my boot partition is pretty small, and just used for the OS... Which also include temporary files... Which is also where CS pops the scratch disks.
Sooo... I have plenty of space, just not where PS wants it. Is there a way I can tell PS to use a specific directory on a specific drive for the scratch disks?

Go into Edit, Preferences, then select Plug-Ins & Scratch Disks from the drop down box - then you should be presented with the option to specify which drives are used.

what does the scratch disk actually do? Like a overrun when memories all used up?

yus, it's just Photoshops own page file for when it has gobbled up all your RAM :D

I have designated a spare 40mb partition for a scratch disk it seems to work well.
