Well seeing as this is pretty much my first time ever photographing motorsports, i've got to admit, I found it alot more fun than I expected.

Bit annoyed that I managed to miss almost all the crashes, as I seemed to be left with my fisheye while my mates were using the telephotos for the most of it.

yes it was mate, I could be wrong but im pretty sure it wasnt open last year, I found it a pretty good place to shoot from.
 
This is within about 10metres of were I was standing! Look like the same position the old chap was standing with his tripod!

Interesting shots, had never considered the Melbourne as a decent place before. What sort of telephoto were you using on these?
 
400mm 2.8, couple with the 2x. So you probably noticed me If you were stood at the melbourne aswell
 
Really liking #4, something a bit different (y)
 
as its your first time you have done really well(y)
i really like the first one
