Replaceing or Reattaching Body Rubber Coming Off Camera The Body

I have a couple of bodies with various ruber bits starting to come away from the body.

Had a mooch around EBay and you cna get replacement kits but they are mainly from China which I dont mind BUT does anyone know of any double sided tape or glue that can be used to reattach the stuff?

The parts are OK just coming away, joys of using older machines

3m do a adhesive tape .I had some but found it fairly useless

I've done this once or twice and you need to use a contact adhesive like Bostic. Make sure the camera and cover are free of old glue, lighter fluid can help with this. Lastly make sure you don't get glue or fluid in any openings of the body.

I have seen 3M tape recommended by some and does seem to be a bit of a mixed bag as weather it works or not.

Bostic? I have some of that and its well messy to use but as I have some worth a go

The cause is down to having greasy skin this gets absorbed by the rubber and melts the glue

Sometimes the 'rubber' expands or goes out of shape and won't fit back. I gaffer tape over grips when they go like that. Unsightly but it serves a purpose.
