Hi couple of questions.

I got my Canon 20d second hand with a crack in the top LCD screen cover. A quick look on the net says it is part CB3-1651, and costs peanuts.

The crack doesn't effect my view of the screen but it would be nice to fix especially if it is cheap!

First question where can I buy one? I can seem to find anywhere that sells parts online. Second has one replaced one before? How would you go about it?

Cheers,

Chris

Well, this seller has the complete LCD sub-assembly for sale. You could try contacting them to see if they do the cover.

Sorry I can't help with instructions, never having done this repair before. :(

Carefully flick the old one out with a sharp knife, clean round the edge of he opening with some isopropyl alcohol. Peel the the sticky covering on the new one and CAREFULLY. Press it into place.

Job done.

I've previously seen a You Tube vid showing this, looked a relatively simply job...
