Resolution Question

Yes
I've just purchased a new monitor and set the resolution to the recommended 1680 x 1050 by using the properties setting via the desktop but now I can't read the left hand side of my e-mails in Outlook as they're cropped.

I'm obviously missing something simple but it's driving me nuts :help: please

Have you checked your screens 'V-Position' and 'H-Position' from the menu buttom on the monitor itself? Might be just a matter of shifting the H-Position to the right. You can tell if this is the problem if there is a black 'border' to the right hand side of your screen.

Thanks for that but there's no black line

There is usually an 'auto' button or 'auto' option in the OSD menu of the monitor that should sort your problem.

I too have a 1680 x 1050 setting but do not have the same problem, although I do use outlook express. If you are still having trouble could you post up a screen shot of outlook for us to see the problem?

Thanks for the help. I've now realised that it only the affected the first e-mail I received since I installed the monitor so I guess it is something to do with the formatting of the mail from the sender.

I've just sent myself a e-mail from my hotmail & that's fine

Just me being :cuckoo: as far as computers are concerned :bonk:
