I am returning to photography after 30 years, I am now trying my hand at digital, and really enjoying it.

Hi Humphrey, welcome back to the hobby. You will find everything has changed on the technology side but everything is the same. It is still just a way of recording light falling on a subject using a lens, try not to get distracted by the technobabble, ask questions and most of all have fun.
