I find myself taking a lot of shots low down and was considering a right angle viewfinder, but when I checked the Nikon site I was gutted to see the price of approx £280.

Now I'm sure the cheaper ones are going to be nowhere near the same in quality, but are they still worth it?

Has anyone any experience of the cheaper ones?

The Hoodman RAV worked great on my D80. It should retail for around £80-£90.

I never had any peoblems with the quality, it's well made and does what it's meant to.

the Seagull is based on an old Minolta design so the quality may not be that far behind & for the money you can't complain.

I have a seagull --- yes its good although the VF adapter on my d7000 is a tight fit so take care .

as a rider to above - the one thing i wish for with the 7000 is a movable live view screen like the 5100!!! Nikon hear me when you bring out 7100 >
