Ring Flash, 18 or 48 Led's?

I've found two models on Amazon that have a tripod bush on the ring, one has 18 led's the other 48.

The one with 18 says that each LED is 0.5W, 9 times the normal...Which would be the better choice?

The 48 LED flash will give more even lighting than the 18 Led option, even if the 18 LED option is brighter. How much that matters will depend on how far away from the subject your flash is. My 32 LED flash is certainly plenty even enough.
