after hrs & to think the next generation will think the idea of being told to stop drinking at 11pm absolutely barking

You could recreate that lock-in feel though Dave, get a mock bar made, water down some cheap lager, stick it in a proper lager bottle, ring a bell, shout time, turn the lights off then keep drinking!. Occasionally go all quiet when you think the law is outside, then fall asleep at the table...
