There has been a good debate going about how "that" picture came about, whether it was a real fluke in the heat of battle -or, someone close at the time sort of suggested.....Capa was getting a platoon of soldiers to mock up situations for the camera....and this poor bloke caught a snipers bullet. This suggestion is not mine, one I heard that reputedly came from within the platoon. Whatever the truth behind it, the impact it has on anyone who sees it is immediate - and shocking. Even to Roberto Capa himself. Apparently this picture haunted him.

It is miles away, but I really want to get down to the devil's lair (London - inside the Ring of Doom) and see this exhibition. I might have to catch a train. Do they have trains in London?

:lol::lol: Fantastic

As for Roberto Capa - I'd love to get to that exhibition. Black & White Photography Magazine have a very good article on him and his work this month.
