Nice motor ( I was expecting a Honda RS500 bike - the escort/focus/sierra angle never occured to me until i looked at the pic)

From a photographic point of view its a nice car let down by an uninspiring background, either a nice out in the country sky background, an urban background with lots of reflecty lights, or the gritty option of an underground carpark or street shot would do the motor more justice.

Also you will probably find that the car looks better shot from a lower angle , as the standing angle on things shorter than you are (often colloquially reffered to as the 'my dog' angle) is generally the least aseathically pleasing

okay - probably best not to post it for crit then - I'm sure a passing moderator would be happy to shift it into photos for pleasure

Help yourself by all means. I've got to be honest with you , as a new member to this forum, some of you seem very pretentious and opinionated. Sorry, but I don't think it's a place for me. On that note, I'm out. :(

I don't really understand that reaction tbh - why is it pretentious and opinionated to give helpful critique , or for that matter to suggest that you don't post pictures other than your own for critique

I'd characterise both as being helpful and friendly personally

Aren't dummy spitting goodbye posts a no-no?

You can't go. Not with a subject matter as stunning as that. You're right there are some on here that go out of their way to "criticise" but as long as you like the photo who cares.

More photos of the RS500 please :)

I'm not being funny mate but it was originally posted in the feedback and critique boards - constructive crit is what those boards are for

(if it had been posted in photos for pleasure where it is now, I wouldn't have given it crit as this is a no crit board for pleasure only )

I think maybe you are confusing criticism and critique, they are two very different things...I do however agree that Richard shouldn't leave, I'd hope that he sticks around and realises what a great opportunity he has by joining this great forum...they are a large number of talented and experienced photographers on TP that are more than willing to offer there own knowledge and experience to help Richard and anyone else who wants it genuine advice on improving their photography...all for free, now that really is a bargain (y)

my all time fave car we need more photos of this baby or should that be beast lol get some 1 from here to take some photos of this bad boy at a different location with a wide angle from low down

its a very nice car mate but the background just isnt doing the car justice wher are you from rich

the last photo is ok rich you could try a post like any kent people want to practice car photos with my car a rs 500 ,see if some 1 posts up ,do you own a camera and if so what and what lenses

as said get it in a underground car park try the 18-55 around the 18mm and get down low to the ground or if there is any walls with graffiti on them you could try that as a back drop and the car sitting at a angle

Who wants to take some good photos for me?:D

I'm sure some wouldn't mind in fact in your area if your in Kent there is a very talented chap who is a member here he might be able to help...that said personally I'd like to just help you to be able to take better ones yourself as ultimately surely that should be goal in any case check out Mike Hamilton I'm sure his work would help inspire you and may even be able to help you
