Very nice shot Carole. I may be tempted to make a levels adjustment to lighten slightly (the whites of his eyes are looking a tad dark), but aside from that, an excellent shot.

The image seems a little soft? Not quite able to put my finger on why though. Contrast? Sharpening?

I agree with Mike ... just a bit more light needed in the eyes and you'd have a corking natural light portrait here

Thought I'd have a go....wanted to see if new lens would be the best one to take...think it will be.

Tried lightening the whites of his eyes and sharpened face a touch as suggested.....


any better?
