samyang 14mm focus direction

hi, i've just bought a samyang 14mm, great little lens, incredibly sharp-

I bought it in nikon mount and got an af confirm adaptor, it works fine, but after taking 2 photos I realised the focus goes from infinity to closest rather than the other way round, and this is the opposite direction to my other canon lenses and i'm not sure if I can live with it. I have googled it and there seems to be an almost random distribution of infinity left vs infinity right lenses, at least in the images i've seen, but then you never can tell which are natice canon mount and which are nikon adapted

can anyone who has it in canon mount confirm that it indeed focusses the 'canon' way, or are there people on here who also have it going the other way

i'm tempted to return it and get another in canon mount if the focus direction is different on the canon, but obviously it will cost me postage both ways and i'll have a defunct nikon/eos adaptor

Shows a lens that has the focus scale going from close->infinity, ie the Non-Nikon way. Now, I can't be certain that's a canon mount, but it does suggest that there are two mechanical versions of the samyang with the two focus directions. It'd therefore make sense to use the Canon style focus direction on the canon mount version.

Personally, I suspect you'd get used to it anyway, I have a couple of lenses on Nikon that focus the other way from the Nikon standard, and I grew up with M42 and then FD lenses that went 'the canon way', and never really have any trouble with focus direction (though the first time I used nikon I did notice 'something was weird' about it)
