Saving a Calumet Tripod

Hi all, new user here.

I came across a friends old Tripod which is a Calumet (I think Italian and bought out by Manfrotto). I'm aiming to save it as it's very chunky and well built but it has a few issues.

The main issue is all but one of the cast locking knobs have fractured. One of the remaining ones is includes as is the 8mm nut type engagement they use. Now I think but can't verify anywhere these might be used on Manfrotto's in which case I can pick up spares that way.

The other issue is the brass wheel internally seems to have some minor damage. It's working at the minute but isn't smooth. I may be able to recover that.

When I took the top cover off to get at the wheel a spring popped out at the side of the extention lever. It looks like there may have been a second on the other side at some point, that or the first spring shouldn't have been there.

Finally if anyone knows anything about the tripod please let me know.
