SB 800 pins

I have just taken the bung off the front of my SB 800 to see what sort of pins it has ,(I'm looking to buy a add on battery pack) and have noticed that one of the pins is short.can anyone confirm this is right or not.

Just looked at mine. 3 pins, 1st (on left) is much shorter than the other two.

yes the left hand pin is short

Many thanks. Only as i bought it 2nd hand i was not sure if it had been broken off.

there are differences in the connector depending on which market the nikon flashes are sold in - for instance if you're getting the nikon bracket/power pack you need the SK6A version for UK/europe flashes but the SK6 for the USA/far east versions.

I don't have mine in front of me but I think the UK version takes the form of 3 round insulated pins whereas the USA version is just a basic rectangular plug.
