Hi,

Right so after a couple of nurseries previously i'm taking on a full Infants school on monday (around 150 kids). White background setup and i'm getting mixed reactions about how parents etc found the photographer last year (who did a very modern approach).

My plan is to do 2 shots (maybe 3?) a formal sitting shot (akin to traditional style) and a sitting on the white background shot (kinda relaxed).

Does this sound about right? any tips please?

thanks :)

The photographer who ame to our school did 2 shots, both on a white background, like you say the normal sholder to the side and look at the camera, followed by a different shot, this second shot was also cropped on a slant to make a 3rd image and well the parents had the choice.

150? with sibs? You'll br finished in 2 hours.... Home in time for Cornflakes.

This is mine we also shoot to barcodes so the school gets auto load cd for the data base. The bottom shots are Chroma key.
Out of 2000 kids = 3 schools on chroma only 42 bought white bg. 1,580 went for the library. funny that.

The poses above are taken in under a minute fer child. Stick to the exact same 3 poses through the whole shoot. change halfway or do something different at times will get you shed loads of grief. Parents all talk and compare.... So make what one gets the same as the others.

Also Dan what pro lab are you using?

some are more pricey than others and online ordering varies alot between them.
