SD card exif not transferring

SD card out a em10 mk3.
Put in iPad via adapter (I’ve tried two iPads). It’s reads in files on iPad. Transfer to photos like I have always done and exif details have gone. Never had a problem until a week or so ago. I can’t remember update, but I wouldn’t bet there wasn’t one.
Done the exact same on a Chromebook and exif details are all there.
Obviously an iPad problem, anyone know what’s going on or a fix?
I’ve done a hard reset, that’s as far as my knowledge goes.

How are you checking the exif? Just in the photos app or some other means?

Importing directly into photos? Or via another means?

(If you share from the photos app it will strip most of it by default but it should be in there ok)
