Doncha just love the low winter light at this time of year.

I use the ferry most weeks, but its taken me a nearly a year to actually capture a few gulls in a good light... their fast, small, white and annoyingly camouflaged against any sky and water... well thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Some of the white is blown out, but I just don't care. :D

Nice one FB,(y) tried this on the Dover/Calais ferry but binned the lot, even the white cliffs were blown out.

:D: Glad I'm not the only one who has trouble with these blighters Mitch.

I did try a few at F8 but the shutter speed fell to low and blurred them all to easy... That and the water background coming into view.
In the end I think the overblown whites (although theres is no clipping on the histogram, and it sits mostly central on the graph, don't quite understand why its not showing clipping but heyho ) ...works very well on these subjects, kinda adds to the feel and overall impact.

IMHO anyway. :D

Thanks for the comments guys, glad you like them. :)
