Hmm. It's hard to tell on this one Mike. You appear to have sharpening issues on the twig. The buzzard looks top drawer though.

You comment on the other thread about this different between a 500 and a 100-400. I'd say that for 90% of the time there's nothing in it. However, it should allow you to get something out of the bag when you really need it. I've taken about 5k shots on my 500 in the last 7 months and I love it.
