Yes
I thought I'd have a go at a few close up food shots, using the Raynox on the 55-250 at min focus distance. Tripod mounted and remote shutter release.

1) Cumin seeds, focused at inifinty

2) And at minimum

Thanks for looking, C&C welcome.

Looks like you are having some fun exploring shapes and textures :)

Do you have or have you considered getting a focus rail? I find they make it much less of a faff than shuffling the tripod around to get the focus right. I use the manfrotto one:
Manfrotto 454 focus rail

....can do some pretty extreme focus stacks on that....I'll post some later ;) (think 100's of shots stacked to make 1 shot!!)

Thanks, yeah having some fun with it. I am considering a focus rail but haven't invested in one as yet. I've found it's easier to move the plate these were sitting on, than muck about with the tripod. Same effect though. That really is extreme stacking, I'll look forward to those.

Who'd have thought that humble cumin seeds could be so beautiful! The star anise reminds me of a volcano.

This is like a whole new world,John

Keep having fun!

Thanks Karin, I must say the Cumin seeds were a surprise that close, and now you mention, yep, I can see the volcano too.
