Self Portrait

Having played around with cam other week and taken some self portraits - I thought id have a bit of a play in photoshop. These are taken with 400d, in natural daylight (thanks to bedroom window and net curtain became bit diffused).

Good effort, how did you manage the black background? I never understand it!!! Cool effect.

love both shots but b,w does it for me 2me its more appealing.

I like it, but I think you've lost a bit of detail in your eyes, if you could bring that back, it'd be a lovely shot, specially for a self portrait (I mean with the logistics of taking the photo, not the subject ).

I'm not a great fan of the glowing blur processing look, I think something like this would suit better for monotone;
