Hello
I havent done much for the last 13 years apart from look after the kids etc.
Now I used to love photography, even did my City & Guilds.
Sold all my film stuff a few years ago as it was never used.
Just got an old Fuji compact that I am happy with but might buy something better???
Now I have been in the loft and found my old Benbo 1 tripod, should I keep it?
I used to do a lot of long exposures with film to get the right grain structure etc, but now its just snaps, so do I still need this in the new digital world?

Keep it, if you get back into photography it'll come in handy

Keep it,

The kids are likely to go to university in a few years, and you'll feel lost and looking for things to do....

(and it's a good tripod).

If you are like me you get rid of something then a few weeks latter realise you need it. However it's been in the loft for years so you really have not needed it. But if you are thinking of starting photography again. I'd keep it. Now if in a year it's still unused, then sell it

I voted sell but, rather obviously, really it depends whether you the money more than you want a tripod...

Keep it, I've still got my Benbo 1 & wouldn't part with it for all the tea in China, It still does everything as well as it did when new, Purchased from Jessops in 1987 & it cost just under £90 without a head. So it don't owe me a lot. Keep it & use it.

Regards Toonie

how can we know if you need it ? what do you shoot ?
but you probably don't need it much if you're asking. but then - it can come handy some times .

so - I picked - keep it ! :D

keep ir and dont panic about buying the most expensive new Dslr gear either, there are loads of decent 2nd hand out their (Id still stick to Canon or Nikon though) or a hybrid like the Panasonic GF1, I want one of those!

Good Luck
