Hi,
Can anyone recommend any products for cleaning the d810 sensor?
I've a dark spot in my images and can see something on the sensor.
The self cleaning mechanism has been unable to dislodge it.

Thanks.

Try a rocket blower first. If yhat doesn't work then buy some eclipse cleaning fluid along with some pec pads. There are also the sticky block jobbies but i forget what they're called. Some seem to rate them but I've never used them.

HTH.

In between the air puffers and wet cleaning the entire sensor there's local mechanical dry cleaning, such as dislodging with a small brush or wiping with one of lenspen's little versions for sensors which also polishes off grease. Although I have wet cleaning stuff just in case, in seven years of DSLRs I've not needed to go as far as wet.

Thanks chaps.
I've used the wet cleaners in the past for my canon cameras, so its good to know they will still be good for the Nikon. I'lll see about picking up a rocket blower to try first.

So I purchased the visible dust hurricane blower and after several gusts the spec of dust I could visibly see on the sensor and resultant images was blown away.
