sensor cleaning

I think my camera's sensor is due a clean!
I've noticed when pointed at a lighter background there are some darker corners and what looks like a tiny tiny hair in one corner. Have tried the blower, tried swapping lens incase it was a lens issue etc but the problem is still there.

Any suggestions for someone that's never cleaned the sensor- don't want to fmuck up my D700!

do they show up on images or just through the viewfinder?

Just creeping in on printed images and only on some.

as long as you have a steady hand & feel you are capable of wiping some dust off a thin film of plastic you should be ok
there are loads of sites offering step by step guides/tutorials & plenty of youtube videos to watch.
i'm a noob & i sucessfully cleaned my sensor this week without any problems
its not hard.

have a read up on it & see what you think
