Not sure if this it the right forum so apologies if it's not.
I'm hoping to shoot tomorrow's solar eclipse if the weather plays fair etc. I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for doing so? I'm thinking that I'll set up on a tripod and use a Nikon D800 with Nikkor 24-70/F2.8 fitted with my Lee Big-Stopper and use the live view to get lined up etc.
  1. Does anyone have any advice they can impart?
  2. Would spot metering be best or matrix?
  3. Do I need to be careful of the sensor in the camera like you would with your eyes?
Thanks in advance.
