Should I buy a Canon 60D

Always been happy with the Canon 40D, but since my daughter has bought a 550D iv'e got a hankering after the 60D
Must say the image quality is impressive and the nearly double mp is really noticeable when cropping especially subjects like birds.

Would lose about 1fps (don't machine gun anyway) and the metal body, also would mean shelling out for new memory cards and batteries
Any pros and cons you can think of would be appreciated as I have no doubt missed some, not interested in video at all and the tilting screen isn't a biggie either and same goes with any external flash enhancements

Didn't think the 50D was much of an upgrade and wasn't entirely convinced they had the 15mp sensor sorted for noise.
Could sell my pair of 40D's to finance it, but am I better off staying with what I already have, buggered if I know really so help me out please

i have just got a 60d after having a 500d and a 550d
only had it about 10 days but it is still sitting in the box as i do not have any lenses for it :bonk:
i should have a 15-85 lens tomorrow so can finally fire a few shots off and i will let you know what i think of it

If your not bother'd about Video then i wouldn't see the need really. If you need to crop would be not be more benifical to buy a Longer len's that you could keep and that would last longer?

Already got a 400mm lens, anything much longer becomes too heavy and less than hand holdable
