i currently have photoshop cs2 should i go for cs3 or is there not alot of difference

I think CS3 has just a few extra little bits and pieces.....so why waste the money? :shrug:

the best thing to do is see if u can find a comparison between CS2 and CS3 - Ive never used CS2 but been told there isnt that much between it. And surely the money could be wiser spent on glass

I had CS2 and now have CS3 as it was a cheap upgrade for me

However, don't waste your money IMO

The differences are minor in the real world, and glass or just getting out more to take some pics is a better spend too

I have no idea what new lens you want, but it will make more difference to your photography than an upgrade to CS3 ever will

Oh, and CS4 is out now too - and NO I'm not upgrading until CS25 now!

Sometimes, you just have to say enough is enough

The value of an upgrade depends on what new features are in the new version and is it of any value to you. I had CS and didn't upgrade to CS2 but did for CS3 as there were a couple of new enhancements that made it worthwhile.

I think CS4 is available as a 30 day download now so you can try it. There are a few sites that have some of the new features as tutorials, have a look and see if it's worthwhile.

There are a couple of things I think may be useful but I'm not rushing at the moment, as I want to see if they make the upgrade worth the cost

I use CS3 and will go to CS4 as soon as it is available, the big difference I understand is that CS4 uses the graphics card more effectively and takes some of the pressure off the CPU, which will help my old PC cope
