Shutter release cable extension

I already have a radio trigger that can double as a shutter release, but I was planning on using this for some off camera flash and didn't really want to buy another one. Was just looking for a cheap cable to extend the wired trigger I already have. But maybe I could just find a cheap wireless trigger.

I've been using one of these for ages http://www.amazon.co.uk/hahnel-Wireless-Remote-Shutter-Release/dp/B001I905V6, having picked it up for £20 second hand. 100% reliable, just goes on and on. Range is a pointlessly long 80m in the fresh air! Doesn't take up much more space than a cable, and goes everywhere with me.

Tim, depending on the number of wires involved, it's probably fairly easy to make an extension cord for your current wired release. Cut the release's cord in the middle and solder on a suitable plug and socket so they can be plugged back together then make an extension making sure that the pins all match up when it's all plugged together.

I'd use a 3.5mm plug/socket and then get a standard 3.5mm extension cable. Should cost less than £10 total. They do make some plugs/sockets that don't require soldering if you don't have the equipment/skill, but soldered is going to be much more reliable.
I hate wireless remotes because I hate dealing with the batteries... but for long distances they are more convenient to use.
