Would be interested to know from other Canon users what lenses they use for airshows, as I feel my 70-300 is not enough and perhaps something longer is required.
 
#3 is a real stunner, thats fantastic, my pick by a distance, great angle and looks like its in a dogfight
 
i cant believe they all ignored this set, #3 was the best image i saw last night
 
Hi Paul, nice pictures.
Canon 100-400 LIS is the std airshow lens, although 300mm/2.8 LIS is about the best you can get.

Dino f: Was guessing the 100-400 L would get mentioned, don't really have a budget for one at present but might have a look at the Sigma 120-400 as a cheaper option.

PxEl8d: Thanks for positive comments, did think it was a bit quiet on the comments front.
 
Would be better if we could see them at 800px, but they look OK to me - nice amount of prop blur. Not particularly interesting angles though - were you outside?

I use the EF 70-300 IS for airshow photography btw.
