OK, so I just purchased a used sigma 100-300 f4 lens....£600 could of paid more could of paid less. Im really happy with the lens, however it was supplied without a tripod collar... after looking for a replacement expecting to pay around 40 quid I am stunned to find that an average price is around £179, thats pretty much a third of the cost of the lens itself, for what is essentially a jubille clip with a screw thread...

Has anyone got a spare or a solution to this incredible marketing con??

(apart from welding a jubilee clip to a screw thread ;))

there's ebay replacements for about £20, I'm pretty sure (though don't quote me on it) that it's the same fit as the sigma 70-200, so yeah...try that maybe?

Hi,

collar comes standard on these lenses so the seller has either lost it or broken it as it should have come with one.

Mike.

The 100-300 F4 comes with the the TS-21 Tripod Collar

Microglobe are selling one of these for about £85 by the looks of it. I think the 179 you are seeing is for the TS-41 collar.
