Sigma 120-300 & 2x tc

Just noticed that when I review pics taken with this combo Lightroom sees the lens as a Sigma 100-300 f/4 and not a 120-300 f/2.8. I'm using a Sigma tc so would of thought perfectly compatible. Guessing no problem caused here just means I need to be aware when selecting lens correction profiles that I pick the correct one and not default.

Any ideas what would cause this?

for some reason this is common with sigma the use other chips from other lenses dont know why.

Thanks. Bit odd though as it is fine when the lens is used on its own or with my Canon 1.4x tc, strange :shrug:
