sigma 150 macro user manual

hi,
i've just purchased a sigma 150 macro lens but it didn't come with a user's manual unfortunately, does anyone have one or know where i might get one..
is it possible to download one....:thinking:
 
Lens do not usually come with manuals as such. Just a sheet with a few facts like number of elements, angle of view. For normal use you do not require one.

Congrats on getting a great lens, but I do not recall getting a user manual with mine, certainly nothing that I bothered to keep. The one thing that you might need to be aware of is the focal length limiting switch on the side of the barrel which means you can restrict the AF range of the lens to .3 - .52, .52 to inifinity and FULL. The first setting is particulary useful when shooting macro and using AF as it keeps the process as quick as poss. Having said that, manual focus (which would be set via your camera) is often the preferred option of many when shooting macro.
 
I got one with mine, it explains the recommended maintenance blah blah and focal range AF switch.
Your not missing much. Maybe there could be a download on the Sigma website :shrug:
 
thanks for the comments johnaalex, i only picked it up yesterday so i've done very little with it as yet, it came in the padded case and with a hood, no box or instructions unfortunately, but it is in perfect condition thankfully.
i would of thought that a lens of this cost/calibre would come with some sort of manual (it's just nice to have all the bits with it) i have a few canon lenses all with booklet's,one thing i noticed straight away was the weight of it, it's really quite heavy, which to me add's to the feel of quality.......

I have that lens. I will have a lookie in the box & see if I can help you. I will pm you later. I can probably scan it & email it to you. IF it is still there!

I have had this lens from new and all there is, is large sheet with a few diagrams that are all self explanatary, and a description of some features like focus limiter, tripod collar and hood attachment in 10 different languages.

Try phoning Sigma UK, they are in Welwyn Garden City, Herts. You may be able to get a copy.

Just had a quick look for you. Nothing in the box! Need to dig deeper in the chaos that is my study!
It was just a single sheet of paper as others have stated.
In the mean time was there anything you wanted to ask about the lens?

thanks again sawman, no questions at the moment thanks, as i said if there should be any paperwork with it, it would be nice to have it............
