Hi everyone.

total idiot question again, but I'm looking at the Sigma 170-500mm F5-6.3 APO.
would this lens autofocus on my d300?

this is a secondhand lens, and the person selling it was using it on a nikon S55.

have looked on the net but can't make much sense of most of the info.

it will be fine with af on d300,
its a lovely lens imo, only reason i changed it was because of no os/vr in nikon mount,
but when i had one in pentax the body had built in sr so thee was no need to change.
