Sigma 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS

Does anybody know if you can use this lens with a teleconverter to give it a bit more reach, would like a longer lens but funds are tight.

Even if you can it will be horrible with a max aperture of 8 or more at the long end.
