Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has owned a Sigma 18-50mm f2.8-4.5 DC OS HSM lens before? Its pretty cheap on Wex at the moment (cheaper than used versions, actually) so im quite interested in it. Mainly wondering if its much of a step up from the 18-55 kit lens? The fact it has OS and HSM looks like it could be quite a good deal to me, ive had a Sigma 18-50mm lens before (f3.5-5.6 though) and it was pretty good, in fact every Sigma lens ive used before ive been impressed with (the others were expensive fixed aperture zooms though).
Im quite keen on replacing my 18-55 kit lens with something a bit quicker and this looks like the ticket, providing its any good! Theres limited reviews on the web but from what ive read its better than the kit lens (which kit lens ive no idea) but I have the latest Nikon 18-55 with VR so if anyone has owned them both and has any thoughts id love to hear them!
