sigma 24-60 f2.8

Hi, after a bit of a winter break, i, m getting back into taking pics, i have bought last night ( cider again !), a sigma 10-20, i fancy trying a bit of landscape,s and stuff.
Now i have just sen a sigma 24-60, dont think its going to be alot of money, and i fancy it as a replacement for my 18-55 kit lens,
so has anyone used one of these, are they any good or shall i jut keep my kit lens for now and have a look for a 100 macro. . . . . . . buger !,

It's very soft wide open and edges don't sharpen up for a long time. But it's small and light. I tried a copy on full frame, so results may be slightly different on crop. But ultimately I sent it back after a week and replaced it with a Tamron SP 28-75/2.8 which is in a different league.
