Hi, i`m looking for a sigma 24-70 f2.8 for my nikon d90
is there much difference in the models? macro, hsm etc?

im using the hsm version now. the AF is quite fast, comparable to my 50mm 1.4 AF-S. I would say the macro is the older version, where the AF is not as fast. Not really sure of the optic quality as well. you could google the reviews for the macro to see the differences!
 
I have the Macro version, it's quick enough but I would LOVE to own the Nikon - killer lens! :)
 
I used to be a canon person and borrowed the 17-55 f2.8 for a friends wedding, i had other lenses but used that for 80% of the time, can afford afs at the moment though.
