ok, so i dropped a sigma 10-20 (canon fit). until recently it was my least used lens, but i've also had some requests for uwa venue shots with my work, so i'm thinking of getting it repaired. i've got insurance, but i'd rather not deal with the increase in the policy on this. anyone have any experience with sigma repairs? their official site quotes £50 per hour plus parts for non standard repairs (the glass is fine, but the rear part of the lens shell has split) but i'm thinking if its likely to run over the cost of replacing with a decent second hand copy (about £250 on here iirc) its not going to be worth it. any ideas?

Sent my Sigma 1.4x TC off for a clean as my son decided to cover it in coffee ... £79 incl return postage and so far they have had it a month (due to the fact they broke a couple of clips opening it and then found out they had no spares) :bang:

I have a MKI APO EX 70-200mm f2.8 and a Bigma I would like serviced and cleaned but Im afraid to ask ...
