Yes
I second shoot for a wedding photographer, we are now using almost identical gear but some how we always end up chopping and changing cameras

At the last gig we ended up taking each others SB-900 home, It would only be a problem if one of them broke and we needed to claim the insurance.

So I was going to stick “names” on my gear the only one I can think of is “Okay Bokehy” for my 85mm f1.4

So I need silly names for

24-70mm
70-200mm
SB-900 (I'm thinking Sparky)
SB-600
D700
D300

Yep definatly a silly thread

SB-900 (I'm thnking Sparky) or big sparky that will need a rest occasionally
SB-600 Little sparky

:)

24-70mm ~ Stumpy

Why not stick coloured elastic bands round them instead? Less intrusive yet easily spotted.

I was going to stick the labels on the underside of the lens hood, so that it didn't get in the way. (and probably on the base of the camera) I just wanted something with a bit of a sense of humour.

Hahaha I think this is a pretty decent idea!
You could name one of your cameras' Capture?

How about.. Donna, Karen, Marilyn, Judy, Kathy, Nancy..

There's a Jaffa cake for anyone that can name the next three in the sequence.

That's going to really annoy me now!!! :) Was thinking hurricane names or US first ladies but that's wrong. Will have to buy my own Jaffa Cakes.

Maybe a clue would help, if you want one..

The 25th name in the sequence is Eleanor

Alistair, that really hasn't helped!!! I thought I had it with the cars from Gone In 60 Seconds but no..... I really shouldn't let this bother me lol.

Apologies to the OP for going off topic :)

I like the idea, but watch you don't refer to them by there names all the time, as people may question your sanity

Well.. if you're only going to look at the list from the remake I'll keep the Jaffa cake for myself..

i was thinking the wives of the american presidents for some reason (probably the name nancy coming up)...but no

The name's of the cars from gone in 60 seconds?

But surely Eleanor was the last car on the list even in the original  Also I can't find mention of Donna?

Bonzo and Bernard for the cameras (for no particluar reason) , and if you buy a smaller compact you could call it bob.

Bob - what an unusual name for a camera

yes sir its short for erm, sue

I'm going by the list in imdb, I'll fire up the DVD later and check the actual blackboard onscreen (and if you're thinking UV you're watching the wrong film, the right film doesn't have Nicholas Cage - so many, many films that could be said about). Donna and Karen are both 1973 Stutz Blackhawks. Eleanor is the last to be aquired, but isn't the last on the shopping list.

To the OP - sorry for the off-topic, but it is a list of names.. .. ;)

If anyone hasn't seen it, the original Gone is just soooo much better than the Cage remake:thumbs:

Has there been a film produced that wouldn't have been improved by his absence?

Anything where they ended up cast Steven Seagull instead.

How about you paint a red ring round the end of all your lenses, then you'll look like a proper pro.

How about naming all your kit "Help! Help! I'm being stolen"
