Singing Sands

This photograph was taken on Sandend Beach looking towards the tiny village of Sandend on the Moray Coast. The sun dropped 20 minutes previously when the wind picked up and blew the loose dry top sand in big waves across the beach. I set up and waited for a suitably big gust to make this photograph.

Great the way that the sand and clouds reflect each other, as it were. Could you lose a bit off the bottom of the shot - perhaps a third?

Love the fact you've managed to capture the 'blowy' bits!

I find the bottom 1/3 of the image a bit of a nothing though... looks out of focus (though I am now wondering if that's the effect of the sand moving over the surface), and there's not really much there.
