I have to say that i am rather lucky in the fact that within the big big big office where i work they have a photography department, and should i need a specific lens, i can sign one out for the weekend.
Anyway, a few days ago i was chatting to a mate who knows people in there, who was asking how things were going. I said i had signed up for TAOP, he replied, if there is anything you need, just ask (the current body i have is a D200 and that needs to go back at some point). Jokingly i said a D300/300s would be nice and left it at that, about an hour later he came back to me and said i can probably get you a D3/3s if you want.
I replied that although the offer was very nice, going from a borrowed D200 to a borrowed D3s, was a rather big jump that i couldn't really justify and that it would be like learning to ride a moped and then being given a 1000cc racing bike, i also said i would have an issue due to lenses (yes you guessed it, was told that wouldn't be a problem).
So, what would you do. The current TPers i meet are all on the dark side and know how to use a FF camera, i get enough stick with the current body. I am looking at getting either a D300/s or D7000. People have said go FF, but is the jump that big? I know i won't make use of half the settings and will have the label of all the gear no idea, but would you take the offer up?
