Hi there. I'm trying to set up my dad with a way to remotely control his Sony Alpha a850 via his android smartphone and/or tablet. I don't know a lot about his camera so I'm a little stuck. I hope someone here is doing something similar and can advise what I can do and what I need.
Preferably I'd like for him to be able to:
-control camera settings such as aperture, shutter speeds, autofocus, bracketing.
-use timer/interval functions: Bulb exposures of specified duration or taking photos at regular intervals.
-view images already taken.
I'd like it to be as wireless as possible, presumably through some sort of bluetooth or wifi transmitter plugged in to the camera. I don't have the skills to make such a transmitter myself so it'd have to be something I buy. If wireless isn't an option, I'd settle for some kind of cable option.
I hope someone can tell me how many of these things are possible, and what I would need to achieve this.
(I am still waiting to hear back on what kind of smartphone and tablet he has)
Thanks
Matt
